1.Absolutely no make-up exams or quizzes are given.

2. Final grade will be determined from your scores, which count as follows:

Lectureexam #1   20%
Lecture exam #2  20%
Lecture exam #3   20%

Lecture exam #4   20%
Final exam            20%
Quizzes               20%
*Total                   100%


* Exam (including the final) andquiz with the lowest score will be dropped from your finalscore.

 Optional Field trip  0 to 5% added to final score, depending upon field trip selected and level of participation.

3.  If you have a question or problem, then please see me about it sooner, rather than later. You can always set up an appointment by phone or e-mail. I usually have a review session in Geology Room 200A the night before a lecture exam at 6 PM.

4.  I may be out of town to attend conferences. On those occassions a substitute will be present.

5.  If more than one exam is missed, then you will be administratively withdrawn from the class. If after midterm you miss two exams, then you will receive a WF. There are no makeup exams!

6.  If you miss three quizzes before midterm, then you will be administratively withdrawnfrom the class.  If after midterm you miss three quizzes, then you will receive a WF.  Some quizzes will be unannounced.

7.  The only extra credit offered will be the optional fieldtrips (last day to register in Geology is September 9th).
