This diagram shows the minerals of hard cations that have been discovered for each of the "ate" groups (i.e., for nitrates, sulfates, carbonates, phosphates, and silicates). The groups are arranged from bottom to top in order of decreasing ionic potential of the cation in the radical, from tiny N5+ to the larger Si4+. To give you a better look, the next diagram shows you the carbonate panel . . .
