This stop on the Trip Down the Inn is truly a "STOP". The sign at the left is a stop sign for river traffic, and the way to "exit" is indeed to austeigen - to climb out of the river. The reason for the sign is that we have reached a major dam on the Inn, the Langkampfen Dam just upriver from Kufstein. As the sign below indicates, the dam is a hydroelectric power station operated by Tiroler Wasser Kraft (TIWAG), and it has a nameplate capacity of 31.5 megawatts. That's not too shabby, but we will come to a dam downstream with a capacity of 60 MW.
