We're looking west down the main street of Rattenberg, a medieval town on the Inn. Kramsach, the town across the river, was a glass-making center for centuries. When the glass trade failed there, many glassmakers came across the river to Rattenberg. The result is that there are many glass shops along the streets of Rattenberg, and many visitors come to soak up the medieval ambience, have a nice lunch, and look for pretty blown and cut glassware for gifts and momentoes.
