We're looking up Franz Josef Strasse in the medieval heart of Schwaz. The street name is young - Kaiser Franz Josef I was emperor of the Austro-Hungarian empire from 1848 to 1918 - compared to street and setting, which comes from the Middle Ages. The parish church, built in 1478, is at the end of the street, and it's our next stop.
