We're standing on the north bank of the Inn looking across the Inn at an old monastery (the large pink building) and the Patscherkofel, the rounded mountain behind it. The monastery is no longer operative, and building is now owned by an adjacent bank.
The Patscherkofel is an Inntal landmark. A cable car goes up it to the line of white buildings at the sharp treeline. The cable car runs year-round, and ski lifts go on upwards to the top in the winter. There are places to eat at the top of the cablecar run and on the mountaintop, where a communications tower can be seen in our picture. The Zirbenweg hiking path goes to the left from the top of the cable car run and extends over toward (but below) the peaks to the left.
