We're standing in the bottom of the gorge of the Inn between Imst and Roppen, looking west up the Inn. Elsewhere we'll see the Inn with a floodplain, sometimes a broad one, but here the Inn flows through a gorge cut into the limestones of the northern Alps. The river runs fast, and a kayaker is just visible at the lower right. We'll see more river traffic at our next stop.
