Here we see the Inn in a narrow canyon just south of Landeck. Farther downriver, we'll see the Inn looping across a broad floodplain, but here the river flows rapidly at the bottom of a narrow valley. Note that the highway on the right, the highway from Landeck up the Inn Valley to eastern Switzerland, required construction of arches to provide space for the pavement. In the distance are the Calcareous Alps, or Kalkalpen, of which we'll see more later.
