The Altes Landhaus, or Old Statehouse. Innsbruck is the capital of Tirol, one of Austria's ten provinces or "länder", and so it has long hosted a capitol building. This Baroque structure, built from 1725 to 1728 by Georg Anton Gumpp, was the seat of the government of Tirol in late imperial times. Visitors can enter the courtyard, which provides access to a beautiful Baroque chapel.
