GEOL 4320/6320 Exercise 6: Making a cross section through eastern Swansonia

This assignment involves seven real logs from a region that we will provisionally refer to as the eastern part of "Swansonia". Your assignment is to

1) Make a structural cross-section on which you correlate at least six stratigraphically relevant horizons.

2) Write a statement of no more than 200 words describing the geology and petroleum potential of the area.  Your statement should be written as a document that could be submitted to Bulldawg Petroleum management or to geologically literate persons outside the company.  You are encouraged to see Railsback's web pages on scientific editing (very relevant to this writing assignment) and scientific writing (where only the sections on abstracts would be relevant to this assignment of a short piece of text).
