Refund Policy
The Honors Interdisciplinary Summer Field Program obtains
the bulk of its income from student fees, and budgeting must be done on
this basis. Unexpected loss of income creates budgetary hardships for all
the participants. Consequently, the following procedures must be adhered
to, regardless of the circumstances of cancellation.
- None of the fees will be
refunded unless a qualified replacement can be found. Some fees may be applicable to future seasons.
- If you forfeit your fees because of late withdrawal, you
will receive credit for these fees toward participation in later programs,
if they are offered. Note: the Geology Department makes no guarantee that
the Program will be offered on any given summer.
Withdrawal during the summer (whether voluntary or required
by a faculty member)
-
No fees can be refunded. If the withdrawal is for reasons
of health or family emergency, and the student is doing satisfactory work
at the time of withdrawal, permission to participate in part or all of
later Programs (if offered) may be granted, at the discretion of the faculty
member in charge of the Program. Additional fees, amount based on decision
of faculty member in charge, may be required for such participation.
-
Awarding of grades for student withdrawing from the program
will be handled according to normal University of Georgia regulations.
For students who are continuing at the University of Georgia, Incomplete
(I) grades may be given, with the approval of the Deanís office.
Incomplete grades can be removed by participation in classes specified
by the Heads of the Geology, Ecology, and Anthropology department. Tuition
fees are not required for courses taken to make up an Incomplete grade.
Cancellation of the Program
-
All fees will be refunded
