UGA-IFP Student Responsibility Outline

The following document is provided as "written form" instruction, intended to highlight the standard responsibilities that each participant will face during the Summer Field Program. It should be pointed out that this is a "best-faith effort" to list, as completely as possible, all aspects of the position (not including emergency situations).

Individual Tasks - every day (usually in this order)

Crew Tasks - permanent assignments consisting of 6 - 8 students

Van Crew - done at each gas stop

Tent Crew - done at every campsite unless notified

Cargo Crew - done at every campsite

Kitchen Tasks - starting alphabetically, in groups of four, and rotated every 9th meal.

 

Things to know and remember

Kitchen crew packs lunch first and no lunch until the cargo truck is loaded with tent/duffel gear.

Announced breakfast time signals all other times. Ex. A 6:30 AM breakfast means;

All announced times are hard and fast, sticking to them is a good idea. Late gear gets to ride with the owner in the van. Anyone not completing assigned tasks gets an extra day.
