Application Information

The UGA-IFP is not your typical college class. The program requires you to adapt to a whole new learning environment. We’ve found the students who get the most out of the IFP are enthusiastic and open to discovering new ways to look at the world.

If you love being outdoors, are curious about the natural world, and are ready to give up air-conditioned auditoriums and PowerPoint lectures for a hands-on education in America’s most beautiful scenic areas, then we want you to apply!

The application deadline for Summer 2010 is February 1, 2010. Please be sure that all required materials (application form, references, transcripts and test scores (for non-UGA students)) are sent to us by that date.

We encourage you to apply prior to the deadline to reserve your spot. We review applications as we receive them and will notify you of your status once your application is complete.

FYI... The 2009 field season was unfortunately suspended because of financial conditions that affected almost all the U.S. economy. Our 2010 outlook is optimistic, and we plan to continue this exciting coast-to-coast experince in which more than 300 students have benefitted over the past 20 years.
