IFP APPLICATION FORM

References

Below is a link to the recommendation form that you should have two references complete and return to UGA-IFP. Please remember to choose people for references that have worked with you in some outdoor, group travel, or academic capacity; family and friends are not generally considered "good" references. It is your responsibility to ensure that your recommendation letters come in on time. Letters of recommendation are often a primary factor in our decision making process - please take them seriously!

Disablities

If you have any physical handicap or medical condition that might affect your participation in field activities, please explain fully either on the application form itself or by directly contacting Dr. Paul Schroeder. The presence of certain handicaps or medical conditions does not necessarily exclude you from the program, but full disclosure of your status must accompany your application.

Additional Requirements

If you are in your first semester at UGA or not currently a UGA student, please send the following in addition to the above application material:

  • High school seniors - send current transcripts and SAT/ACT scores
  • New UGA students - send a list of courses in progress plus high school transcripts and SAT/ACT scores
  • Non-UGA students - send college transcripts and SAT/ACT scores

Mail your transcripts and scores to:

UGA-IFP
Department of Geology
University of Georgia
Athens, GA 30602-2501

Good luck and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
